Slovakia's Sagan wins 4th stage at Tour de Pologne

CIESZYN, Poland (AP) Peter Sagan of Slovakia won the fourth stage of the Tour de Pologne on Wednesday to take the overall lead in the race.

The Liquigas team cyclist finished the 110-mile hilly ride from Oswiecim to Cieszyn in 4 hours, 21 minutes, 15 seconds with a bonus of 10 seconds. Tree seconds behind were Ireland's Daniel Martin with the Garmin-Cervelo team and Italy's Marco Marcato with Vacansoleil-DCM.

Sagan took the race lead from Marcel Kittel of Germany, who won the first three stages but dropped out of contention Wednesday.

The stage Thursday is a 125-mile ride starting and finishing in the Zakopane mountain resort. The race covers 692 miles across seven stages.
