LAVAUR, France (AP) Frenchman Thomas Voeckler has the overall lead in the Tour de France as the riders set off under light rain in the 11th stage.

The flat, 104.1-mile route Wednesday from Blaye-les-Mines to Lavaur favors sprinters such as Mark Cavendish and Andre Greipel, the winner of the 10th stage Tuesday.

Defending champion Alberto Contador and main rival Andy Schleck will look to stay safe in the main pack before riders hit the high climbs in the Pyrenees on Thursday.

French rider John Gadret of the AG2R team didn't start the stage.
